About Framehawk

Framehawk provides a software platform for application mobilization.

The company was founded in 2008 by Peter Badger and Stephen Vilke, two leaders in real-time applications for the financial services industry.

The founders recognized an emerging need to bring enterprise applications to mobile devices in a way that met the experience needs of end users and also the data security and rapid development needs of the enterprise.

Key team members come from NASA, and Framehawk has applied concepts from their experience communicating with distant spacecraft to solving the enterprise mobility problem.

A better approach to enterprise mobility

The result is the Framehawk Platform and a new architectural approach to mobility that provides both a way to get started accessing existing applications from tablets immediately, plus the foundation of a long-term enterprise mobility strategy for an organization’s entire application portfolio.

Framehawk provides a software platform that enables secure, high-performance application delivery to mobile devices, enabling organizations to immediately use corporate- or employee-owned iPads and other tablets as a productive part of critical and everyday business applications in the enterprise, without risking data leakage or compromising user experience.

To do this, we make use of our own fast, secure, mobile-optimized protocol to communicate between applications and tablets, and use an architecture in which we put only pixels (not data) on the device, leaving the heavy-lifting processing behind the customer's firewall or in our cloud.

Mobilize any application

With the Framehawk Platform existing applications of all types, including thick Windows applications, can be quickly and easily mobilized.  Framehawk's secure client supports touch and gestures without putting data on the tablet.  The architecture also enables fast, secure delivery of new applications, such as the latest HTML5 web apps, with no browser incompatibility issues and without requiring secure containers or VPN to be deployed on the mobile device.

The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
